Shueti grew up on the streets, in a village somewhere in Northern Europe. After finishing his studies as a welder by day and a painter by night, he continued his creative training at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam where they discovered his obsessive eye for detail and a borderline-neurotic commitment to everything that comes his way.

His years on and off film set collaborating with athletes, dancers, models and music artists, earned Shueti nominations and awards for his work around the world. Some notable nominations include those at Amstel Surf Film Festival and at Dutch Festival NFF for ‘Tension’ He also earned first place at the ART ON FOAM for Quiksilver, best of VOTD for an Asus commercial, and won the Face-Off Video Festival for best film in Los Angeles. In 2011 he directed a choreographed and stylised music video for the renowned electronic music producer Amon Tobin, which earned him substantial attention - Consequently he directed Lily Cole and Magnus Carlsen for the campaign film of G-Star Raw. Ever since his work varies from high profile commercials up to personal fine art projects.
Shueti mostly moves around The Netherlands and Indonesia but there have been common sightings popping up in America and Africa as well.

Always looking to feed his mind, he is currently exploring the future developments of advertisement and technology while he also loved working in the kitchen at McDonalds.

Throughout his films, he seeks 'new visuals' which drive his innovative style. He is artistically autonomous, defined by sophistication and cinematic power threaded with his personal sensitivity. This leads to an aesthetic visual style that combines poetry and his commitment to 'see the beauty in all'. If not working on commercials, you'll probably catch him riding a wave, working in his studio or staring at his ceiling.
